Classroom Audio Troubleshooting (Epson Brightlink Classrooms)

Step 1: Check that the HDMI cable is connected properly to both the Epson pilot and your laptop. 

 

           

 

Step 2: Confirm that your laptop’s sound output is set to “EPSON PJ.” 

 

Go to System Preferences > Sound > Output and select EPSON PJ. If you do not see EPSON PJ as an option, the cable is likely either not plugged in properly or not working.

   

Step 3: Check that the wall amp is powered on.

 

In all 5th / 6th floor rooms, the wall amp is located just below the Epson pilot. If the amp is on, you will see a green indicator light underneath the Master Volume knob. If the amp is off, turn the amp on by moving the ON / OFF switch to the right.

 

           

 

 

 

Step 4: Check the audio cable is plugged into Channel 1.

 

An audio cable runs out of the wall and should be plugged into any one of the numbered channels.

 

 

 

Step 5:  Confirm that both the Master Volume and Channel 1 volume are turned up enough to be audible.

 

Turn the volume dials to the right to turn the volume up.
